Description

Lavender is one of the most frequently used herbs in pharmacology, cosmetics, perfumery,aromatherapy and traditional medicine practices.

Lavender has antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal action. Its soothing properties are often used for relief of headaches provoked by stress and tension, muscle joint pain, anxiety and depression.

It stimulates cell regeneration, supports the body’s ability to heal wounds, scars, eczema, inflammation, acne and skin irritations, bites and cuts.

Aids the regenerative processes  internal organs when used for inhalation, massages, compresses, baths, etc.

Used succesfully in hairloss treatments, soothes scalp irritations, itching and discomfort, regulates sebum production, stimulates growth and strenghtens hair follicules.

Promotes deep and restful sleep and can aid the treating of various sleeping disorders.

In aromatherapy it is used for relaxation, promotion of emotional balance, relief of symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Administration:

Inhalation: For the relief of symptoms, due to cold, flue, anxiety, insomnia, headache

Put 3-4 drops in 1liter boiling water and breathe the steam for 10 min. (for relieving cold and flu simptoms, stress, insomnia, headache)

Massage: To reduce tension and lower blood pressure, dilute 1 part lavender oil in 10 parts vegetable/carrier oil ( for reducing tension, lowering the blood pressure)

Enriching shampoos and hair masks: For hair loss and dandruff treatment add essential oils from rosemary, thyme and cedar.Use 3-4 drops of lavender oil in 100ml carrier oil.

For stings and insect bites: Apply 3-4 drops directly on the skin.

Wound disinfection: Apply a few drops on a cotton ball and clean the skin with it.

During flu season and epidemics: Use a diffuser to fill the rooms with lavender aroma to clean the air.
